On the heels of gay marriage and what I expect will become more rampant. I wake up to have my father and my brother say “yay gay marriage” which made me hopeful about my usually homophobic relatives…. followed by this statement concerning someone I love dearly. “Usually he takes time when (his partner) is away to fool around. You know how those people are, the gay people are”…..

they both laugh hysterically at their “wit” and then have the audacity to invite ME to breakfast….I rolled my eyes, scoffed, said that’s not okay, and went right back upstairs…

I do not need to eat breakfast with “those” people….
